MEISSEN huge swan handle vase, 1st half of the 20th century, Design by Ernst August Leuteritz around 1850, amphora-shaped on a fluted round stand. Concave neck with gilded leaf relief, the swinging mouth with reliefed egg and stick. Two double swan handles in a palmette decoration attached to the wall and swinging high in rosettes on the rim of the mouth. Rich gold staffage, the body on the obverse side and verso with lush flower bouquet painting. Underneath the crossed swords mark in underglaze blue and the scratched model number "E155", 1st quality, signs of age and wear, gilding heavily rubbed, H 48 cm.
