Pair of silver plated altar candlesticks Je "Chabou a Lyon" marked. 18th c. CHABOU, Laurent(died 1788 in Lyon) Cast brass and chased brass, silver plated. H 45.5 cm (without spike). Baroque candlesticks with rich decoration on the 3-sided foot, baluster shaft and on the drip tray Strong signs of age/use, 1 soldered joint under the drip tray, 1 spike added. L. Chabou worked as a bossier in Lyon from 1737 to 1788.
