拍品器身作海棠式，撇口束颈，鼓腹亦作海棠花瓣状，形制规整，挺拔俊俏，颇为别致。全器以传统回纹为锦地，颈、肩、足处加饰蕉叶纹与缠枝花卉纹，颈部开窗，装饰花卉纹，花枝曼妙，花朵饱满，繁缛华丽，腹部满雕缠枝花卉纹，四面开光内雕山水高仕图，高士携童子或携琴访友，或松下高论，或闲情赏荷，极富文人雅趣。整器髹漆厚重，雕刻刀法精雅细致，线条深峻有力，纹饰清晰醒目，色泽艳丽，极尽繁复，工艺精湛，为乾隆时期剔红佳作，陈设效果极佳，成对保存更为难得。钓鱼台国宾馆藏有清乾隆剔红高仕雅趣图海棠瓶，其年代、造型、工艺、纹饰等均与本拍品相近，可资参阅。
