此尊工艺极为少见，面部由精铜铸成，身体、发冠为铁制，手臂、脖颈等位置均为分体铸造，后拼装为一体，此种铸造技法为五代时期特有。
菩萨像身躯健硕，面容丰腴，细眉窄目，鼻梁高挺，神情庄严。结全跏趺坐，肩披披帛，下着长裙，胸口装饰璎珞，衣纹襞积，随身起伏，流畅生动，颇具唐代造像遗风。背部设插钮，用以固定背光。整体制作精细，工艺复杂，时代特征鲜明。
