林风眠（1900-1991），原名林
凤鸣，广东梅县人。解放后，任上海中国画
院画师，中国美术家协会顾问，常务理事。
是享誉世界的绘画大师，是“中西融合”最
早的倡导者和最为主要的代表人，是中国美
术教育的开辟者和先驱。1925 年回国后出任
北平艺术专科学校校长兼教授。1926 年受中
华民国大学院院长 -- 蔡元培之邀出任中华民
国大学院艺术教育委员会主任，1927 年林风
眠受蔡元培之邀赴杭州西子湖畔创办中国第
一个艺术高等学府暨中国美术最高学府 -- 国
立艺术院（中国美术学院）任校长。
