The semi-eggshell dish with gently rounded sides rising from a tapered foot intricately and finely enamelled to the interior with a central medallion enclosing a seated lady overseeing a boy at play reaching up to the book on the table, behind the lady an elaborate vase filled with precious objects, the wide everted rim with three floral cartouches reserved on a diaper ground, the exterior plain.
