Of lobed form with chamfered corners, raised on four short feet, the tall sides rising to a sloped shoulder set with a slender upright loop handle, decorated in shades of underglaze blue, the body painted with four panels, two containing the ‘Hundred Antiques’ motif depicting; a censer, beribboned chimes and scrolls, vases and calligraphy brushes, the other two panels containing peony blooms in one, and insects flying above flowers and rockwork in the other, the shoulder with a ‘cracked ice’ hawthorn pattern, the domed cover with a knop finial decorated with peony blooms, set with later silver mounts, the base glazed. Period: Kangxi (1662-1722). Height: 19 cm.
