A powder blue and famille rose mandarin teapot, 18th century, China, Both sides featuring domestic scenes in white cartouches on a solid powder blue background. One side shows a couple with their pet cat. The other side shows a mother and child with their pet dog. The lid has two similar cartouches containing figures. Not marked. H 15 cm, L 21,5 cm (handle to spout), Some glaze loss on the knob on the lid and a small chip on the lid s edge. The gilding on the blue ground is worn off. No other damage (no hairlines) and no restoration.
