Two Cornelis Pronk Plume pattern saucer dishes, Qianlong period, ca. 1740, China, Two small plates, decorated in iron red and grisaille (encre-de-chine). This pattern is normally found in a yellow and lilac colourway. This colourway being extremely rare. D 15,3 cm, Rim frits and one with a small hairline and associated chip (see close-up photo). Slight wear of the pattern. No restoration. Lit: Chinese Export Porcelain, Chine de Commande from the Royal Museums of Art and History in Brussels by C.J.A. Jörg, page 155 discusses a milk jug in the same colourway.
