An Irish silver dish with openwork gilt cover, Plain round deep dish, the gilt openwork brushed detachable cover with Celtic design. On brushed round foot. Maker Brian Clarke, Co. Wicklow, 1972-1973. 925/1000. D. ca 29,5 and H. ca 13 cm His work is included in many collections, such as the National Museum of Ireland in Dublin and the National Museum of Decorative Arts in Collins Barracks in Dublin. He also did a significant amount of research, particularly into the techniques and tools used by the metalworkers of antiquity.
