A marvelous Zahina Bi-Chrome zoomorphic bowl from the Tonosi area of Panama, ca. 900 - 500 BC. This exceptional example is 5 in. in diameter and depicts a feline head with prominent ears protruding from the rim. The large round eyes typically indicate a state of trance and may refer this usage of this vessel in shamanic transformation rituals.
