觚为商周酒器，也是重要的礼器之一。此花觚仿商青铜器器形，较常见的明清花觚更为圆浑挺拔。
其胎体规整偏厚，撇口呈喇叭状，饰蕉叶纹，弧腹四出戟，主题纹饰为以兽面纹，腹上下饰以“卍”字纹及花卉纹，高足饰蝉纹。
此觚通体纹饰繁多，但繁而不乱，布局井然有序，纹饰原有银丝嵌饰，因传承年代久远，银丝氧化呈蓝黑色，与残存的鎏金色泽相互映衬，富丽之姿难掩。
