该件笔山堆塑为五峰山状，器身多有镂空，工艺考究，较三峰笔山为少见。正面镂雕山峰险峻巍峨，居中主峰峰顶旭日高升，山脚海浪翻腾汹涌，山间以青花点染桃枝缠绕，寓有“福山寿海”、“福寿绵延”之意。青花发色深沉，粗犷中不乏精巧，极富意趣，置之案头，气度非凡。首都博物馆藏元代青白釉笔架，其造型与拍品相同，可资参阅。
