A RARE CHINESE SUMMER GAUZE 'DRAGON' ROBE. Qing Dynasty. The blue gauze worked with couched gold thread with five-clawed dragons, all amidst lingzhi-shaped clouds interspersed with 'precious objects'. The memoires are published as Sheila Unrquhart, 2009, Sons of Heaven and document her time in China from her birth until she moved to Burma with her husband in 1932. They also include her own drawings based on the Chinese art collection she amassed and are a touching portrait of an upbringing immersed in Chinese culture in the early 20th Century. 清 刺绣龙纹夏袍 来源:来自Sheila Rosevear Urquhart (1908 – 1992) 私人收藏,后传承至现藏家。
