Fievéz, Brussels, 20.06.1928, lot no. 1; private collection Hamburg. - The invented name 'Meester met de Poes' refers to a master who was active in the second quarter of the 17th century in Flanders, but possibly also in the Netherlands. His table still lifes typically feature cheese, butter, a basket of fruit, birds and the eponymous cat.
