Ca. 1368-1644 AD A very large glazed pottery foo lion altar, of three piece construction, depicting a standing lion, having a fancy flame type tail, smoke curled mane and fanged mouth. Wearing a decorated harness with bells. A center socket in the middle of his back, which connects to a separately made large multisided orb, ith openwork stylized star elements, and finally a lotus flower top piece. All are in colors of shades of green and mustard. Overall exc. condition. An impressive and beautiful piece.
