Oil on canvas half portrait depicts a half portrait of a young man with black coat & red tassel curtain behind. He holds a folded newspaper titled “Constitution” and appears to be dated January 12, 1812 which happens to be the second issue of this London newspaper. Unsigned. Later pencil inscription on verso “Lord Russell”. Housed in a modern gilt frame. SIZE: 29″ x 24-1/2″. Overall: 34″ x 29-1/2″.
