Late 19th century. This fine example of asymmetrical design with four rose red irregular medallions each with polychrome phoenix design on an ivory ground. The whole on a dark indigo field interspersed with tarantula, crab, animal, and snowflake design within multiple polychrome floral and geometric borders. SIZE: 4′ 1″ x 5′ 3-1/2″.
