This is one of the most unusual of designs toe out of the AP design studios in the 1950s, and is a fabulous illustration of how varied, and distinctive the design team was at this luxury watch atelier. The present example features the ultra-thin caliber 2003 with a record-breaking thickness of only 1.64 mm. Caliber 2003 was introduced in 1953 as a replacement of 9″’ML. Very thin and elegant, the yellow-gold case has an unusual engine-turned hobnail cut decoration and is pressed in very good conditions still showing the original laceration of the carrure.
