This reference and its brethren 6536 were in production for a short time between 1955 and 1959. Both feature the new caliber 1030 movement, cases without a crown guard and a 6 mm. crown. Ref. 6536 has a slightly thicker case and slightly smaller dial diameter than ref. 6536/1. Featuring the classic graduated black bezel, a mat dial with an elegant patina, the typical Mercedes hands and a beautiful Oyster bracelet, this 6536/1 is a piece of great charm. The case is crisp with strong lugs and nice factory finished bevels and the black dial is a pleasure to behold.
