Marks to underside include impressed "ROOKWOOD" and "117" and incised "[AR.]V." for Albert R. Valentien. 1881-1905. 29 1/4" HOA, vase approximately 14 1/8" HOA.Catalogue Note: Albert R. Valentien, a Cincinnati native, was employed as the chief ceramics decorator at Rookwood from 1881 to 1905.
