This is a woodblock by Japanese artist Utagawa Yoshimori 1830-1884, published in 1863, titled “Satta Toge Pass”. It’s from “Scenes of Famous Places Along the Tokaido Road”. It was published with a collaboration of different artists, tomemorate the historic journey, from Edo to Kyoto, by the Shogun Tokugawa Lemochi.
