THE VASE IS PAINTED WITH POLYCHROME ENAMELS EMBELLISHED WITH GOLD WITH A GROUP OF MEN IN AN ELABORATE PICTORIAL DESIGN WITH FINE DETAILS. THE VASE HAS STYLIZED ELEPHANT HEAD HANDLE ON EACH SIDE AND IS DECORATED WITH GILT "MON" (FAMILY CREST) STAMP ON FRONT AND BACK OF NECK. MARKED ON BASE WITH MARK OF "HORODA" WITH SHIMAZU FAMILY CREST ABOVE. MEASURES 7" HIGH WITH A TOP DIAMETER OF 2 1/4", A MAXIMUM WIDTH OF 4" AND A 2 1/4" DIAMETER BASE.
