Measurements: 2.625in H x 14in W x 14in D Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Yongzheng red dragon plate. The Porcelain potted in shallow vessel form, with broad wide central interior, rounded cavetto gently tapering to open wide, with straight and flaring opening lip, raised with round and concave footing. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the red fine color. The Interior center medallion decorated with big Chinese Shou calligraphy, enclosed with thrashing wavy Lishui water form rim. The middle adorned with snarling huge imperial five claws dragon careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves in a dark brown color dragon squama rounded the bowl to chasing flaming pearl amidst flames, enclosed with thick red ring lines, and the outer rim festooned with several flying Fu bat among geometric pattern. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity, the Li-shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The Lines of the drawings are clear, the light and dark shades are subtle. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
