本品侈口、弧腹及底内收，下承圈足，胎薄体轻，制作规整。通体施白釉，釉面润泽，外壁口沿及圈足饰青花弦纹双周，外壁以矾红绘云龙纹，二龙游于滔滔海浪之上，一伸爪抢珠，一顾首相望，盈寸间确描绘极为精妙，龙姿威猛跃然器上。外底心以青花书“大清道光年制”六字三行篆书款。
此式矾红云龙纹杯自康熙时出现，龙纹形象为仿明代，落“大明成化年制”款，乾隆时期与本品相类，清代龙纹形象者开始多见，成为官窑典型式样，一直延续至晚清。这其中乾隆至道光时期，龙纹形象几乎没有变化，不观底款很难分辨。而道光以后，龙纹形象已与晚清龙纹特征接近。
