整器因似一只覆置的摇铃而得名，又因造型类似古代双陆棋，也称双陆尊，系康熙朝创设的一种用于插花的陈设器。整器通体用墨彩和粉彩描绘山水湖景，远山近树，红花绿叶，又有亭舍楼阁，笔触细腻，浓淡有致，布局精妙，极具文人画意趣，若置身桃花源中，令人物我两忘。
