Circa 900-800 BC, Neo-Elamite A Neo-Elamite bronze bowl with large conical body; the rim, details a ridged band. The exterior is highly decorated with incised zomorphic details of men and winged bulls in the motion of running; the bulls hang over one another, creating a motion of a movement. In the centre of the bowl appears to be a figure of a winged sphinx and fish. The bottom of the bowl is decorated with linear lines creating the effect of a lotus. The bowl seems to depict a precession of animals. For further reading: Dahl, Jacob L. "Animal Husbandry in Susa during the Proto-Elamite Period" SMEA, vol.47, pp. 81134, 2005.
