Circa 305-281 BC A Greek silver Tetradrachm of Lysimachos, with the head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right. Obverse: Head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, eyes gazing upwards, wearing the horn of Ammon, within a border of dots. Reverse: Athena seated left on throne. Mounted in a gold pendant and silver necklace. Size: L:555mm / W:34.7mm; 45.61g Provenance: Property of a London Ancient Art Gallery; formerly in the famous Alison Barker collection, a retired London barrister; acquired between early 1960s to 1990s.
