Circa 100-200 AD A gold ring with oval bezel, the raise angular shoulders tapering into a band. The intaglio convex oval carnelian gem engraved with Cupid playing pan pipes and riding a dolphin. Ring possibly later. In Ancient Roman culture and mythology, Cupid was the god of love who was capable of making divine or mortal individuals fall in love with his enchanted arrows.
