水晶，又称水玉，以晶莹剔透无杂质者为佳。因其硬度甚高，极难雕琢成形，故传世品少见。麻姑献寿故事源于晋•葛洪《神仙传》卷七：“麻姑，建昌人，修道于牟州东南余姑山。三月三日西王母寿辰，麻姑在绛珠河畔以灵芝酿酒，为王母祝寿。”拍品所雕麻姑献寿纹饰，人物纤毫毕现，形象生动，寓意祥瑞。肩部更有圆雕的小鸟，制作难度更大，颇为珍稀罕见。
