A Chinese famille rose brushpot dating from the early 19th century. The quatrefoil brush pot has four small feet. One side is decorated with a framed scene of flowers, and the other side features a framed scene of three figures in a courtly scene. The frames are surrounded by underglazed blue lotus tracery. Dimensions are: 3 1/8 inches tall X 2 1/8 inches in diameter, 7.9 cm X 5.4 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The feet show evidence of repair. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is. We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece after its initial manufacture as diligently as possible; however, as stated in our terms, condition reports are statements of opinion and not representations or warranties. Oakridge Auction Gallery bears no responsibility for any error or omission. Provenance: From Ms. Wong in Atlanta, Georgia. The items in the collection were acquired by their mother in Hong Kong from the 1940s to the 1960s. The lot comes with a copy of provenance documentation.
