A Chinese magnifying glass with a white jade dragon hook handle dating from the 18th century. The dragon hook is carved with a Chilong along its shaft. The metal frame of the glass features stone and glass inlay elements. Dimensions are: the hook measures 3 inches tall X 3/4 inches wide X 3/4 inches deep, 7.6 cm X 1.9 cm X 1.9 cm, while the whole magnifying glass measures 6 3/4 inches tall X 3 1/2 inches wide, 17.1 cm X 8.9 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There are several areas of repair to the metal frame along with general use wear. The hook is in good condition. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
