A RARE CHINESE DOUCAI 'CRANE' BOWLYONGZHENG MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1722-1735)Decorated with three crane roundels surrounded by scrolling lotus in underglaze blue and doucai enamels. Six character Yongzheng mark within a double circle to the base.7cm high, 14.25cm diameterPROVENANCE:Purchased in Thailand, 1949-1952 or 1963-1968.Allan Henry Loomes OBE (1917-1990), and thence by descent. Allan Loomes was Australian Consul-General to Thailand (1949-1952) and Australian Ambassador to Burma (1958-1961), Thailand (1963-1968), South Korea (1968-1971), and Venezuela and Peru (1974-1978).
