The porcelain potted into a traditional Meiping form, large, thick and tall potted, wide body on shoulder, slender neck easing to form narrow opening, with emerging slight flaring ring mouth rim, raised on round foot base, with slight concave. Warm and uniform dark deep blue glaze applied to the whole surface, only the upper mouth rim and outer bottom is unglazed. Blue is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. Blue stands for healing, trust and long life. Shades of blue are used to decorate homes for longevity and harmony. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
