枕略呈弓形，曲面，平底，枕面暗刻鴨紋，在古代，鴨紋為金榜題名、位列三甲的象征。枕臺下塑臥獅，弓背直腿，兩爪拔地，呲牙咧嘴，劍拔弩張，作守衛狀。獅形枕在宋金時期非常流行，獅子為祥瑞靈獸，兇猛有力，具有鎮宅作用，同時也比喻尊貴地位。「獅」一字與多字同、諧音，語帶雙關：「世」，象徵世代繁衍；「師」，象徵為人師表，古有「人中獅子」之說，形容具威嚴、才華之人，佛典中「獅」常作「師」；「思」，即思想意念。由此推敲，本器可祈求家宅平安，寄願後人步步高升，福澤綿綿。 来歴：舊林原企業舊藏
