题识：1.丁卯春仲，栖霞子写鸜鹆枯枝，窃意拟孙汉阳，不敢望白阳青藤之清疏苍辣也。2.庚午孟春，海屋补竹。钤印：元驭之印、扶羲、于寿伯印、海屋题签：马栖霞花鸟精品，甲子春仲。
马元驭，字扶羲，别字栖霞，号天虞山人、南沙布衣、栖霞散人、日涉园主人，江苏常熟人。画传家法，精于花鸟写生，尤工芦雁，笔墨活泼洒脱，气韵超逸，突过乃父。又常与蒋廷锡探讨六法，受益颇深，故没骨画益工，神韵飞动，不泥陈迹。于寿伯，字海屋，江苏常熟人。钩染花卉翎毛，有风致，所画牡丹颇有特色。
