|笔筒以竹为质，色泽已转红褐，下承三矮足。外壁以浮雕、阴刻行舟图，山势险峻，岩石突兀，老松依崖参天而起。枝杆倒悬，松针如芒，船舟破浪，江水急流。松石、流水层次分明，文人诗客乘坐舟楫，泛舟夜游，不亦乐乎。全器刀法利落，刻画准确，刀笔陷地深琢，技法高超精练。人物表情生动，场景刻划精妙。特别是作者能巧妙运用竹皮与竹肉的颜色，表现湖水与岸渚的区别，再加上刀法的点缀，使全器构图更加生动传神。
