狮头之炉仿自宋代哥窑，据传宣德皇帝曾以此式之炉御赐兵部尚书以助军威，亦有称此式炉取材自佛门典故之中，因文殊菩萨坐骑为青狮，以其振聋发聩，有助文思如泉之效。此炉包浆亮丽，宝光灿然，敞口鼓腹，通体光素。两侧各有一狮耳，造型饱满庄严，神态凶猛。底部款识“永葆珍玩”篆书款，字体规整俊秀，从其款识清晰秀雅便可窥见此炉陶铸工艺考究。不论是用来供置神案、客厅，还是摆设于书斋、居室等处清供，均可营造清逸意蕴。
