‘The Shahin’. This sculpture is made of a real Thoroughbred Race Horse, Human Skeleton and a real Peregrine Falcon, all covered in 24 carat gold and come with full Cites Licences. This sculpture is based on Arabian Falconry, and is designed in such a way that if you stand at the horses head and look at the rider, both he and the falcon look directly into your eyes. The artist has taken meticulous care in the creation of 'the Shahin' using not only a real Peregrine Falcon but also an original Arabian saddle and tack, an authentic Arabian Mangla (falconry) glove, and a real Dunhill Ghutra head dress from Harrods (in the 70s, the Dunhill Jewellery company decided to create a high end Ghutra which they sold through the famous department store Harrods), the Dunhill logo embroidered on the Ghutra is still visible. He is collected by exclusive worldwide clientele, which included Royalty, Hollywood Stars and Music Royalty. Eight years ago he started putting together and idea that had come to him many years before, it has taken many years to source materials and work out the engineering needed to create these extraordinary magnificent unique sculptures, titled ‘The Value of Life in Gold’. To be able to create these unique creations Stephen took the huge decision to close his Knightsbridge gallery and move to a remote location with no outside influences to totally immerse himself in his creation. Like all great artist before him. Working with all due respect to the Humans and other animal species involved, Stephen reanimated the skeletons. Unlike in museums, where skeletons are held together with wires and frames, Stephens sculptures have none. In museums the skeletons look nothing other than dry bones, Stephens sculptures are ‘Alive’ brought back to life somehow and you cannot help yourself but interact with these stunning works of contemporary art. All Cites Licences are in place. Once Stephen has created the form he wants with each piece, he then covers the piece in Pure 24 Carat Gold. The Art Work provided with a Micro Chip, to get his own Avant Garde signature…
