The Art Work was spray painted onto a thick piece of white plywood, which had been used to covering the basement windows of a property on Woodlands Road, near its junction with Lyndoch Street. Online conversations about this work from a Glasgow graffiti forum from 2004 point to the existence of this Banksy piece on Woodlands Road appearing in around 2001, at the time when he left many works in and around the city. This was back when the artist hosted his ‘Peace Is Tough’ exhibition at The Arches, alongside Jamie Reid of Sex Pistols fame. The piece lay undiscovered for years before being painted over in late 2018 - and it was only last year that the owner of the building agreed to have them restored. The removal of the paint was carried out by street art restoration company Exposed Walls, who were also responsible for reworking Banksy's Glitter Gorilla mural last year after it was accidentally painted over at a Bristol community centre.
