Tempera or pigments on alabaster. Signed and dated. Throughout his life, Amate worked for different alabaster and ceramics companies. After the closure of Ceràmiques Pujol in the 1970s-1980s, Amate joined Cerámicas Gassull (Altafulla, Tarragona). Due to his great knowledge and experience in handling alabaster, he began to use it as a support for a large part of his production, experimenting with pigments and different kinds of layers for the indelible fixing of the colours. 16 x 22 cm; 47 x 40.5 cm.
