|刘海戏金蟾是民间广为流传的神话故事。这一题材也广泛地被运用在各种装饰画面中和雕刻对象中。此件沈香摆件外形小巧，以圆雕手法而成，刘海披头散发，宽袍大袖，袒胸露腹，后背葫芦。单腿站立，双手置于腹前，持握贯穿于金蟾口中的钱串，面带笑意，赤足踩于金蟾的背上。双腿蜷曲一立一侧，立于地上。刘海则轻拈铜钱，憨态而笑，面部神情颇为生动，构思精妙，刀笔流畅，实为一件颇为难得的竹雕精品。
