A gilt copper figure of a Mahasiddha, 18/19th century, Tibet, Mahasiddha, “great” (maha) “accomplished one” (siddha), possibly related to either the Chagzam Tradition of Tangtong Gyalpo or to the Nyingma Tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Seated on a tiger skin over a lotus base holding the medicinal round pill in his right hand and kapala in the left. Bejeweled with turquoise, adorned with a necklace and jewels, large pendant earrings, the hair tied up into an elaborate braided chignon. Gilt copper with turquoise and pigment, the base without a seal. H 11.5 cm,
