芭蕉篱菊。一九六一年，秋湘人老诜作
龚鸿恩、铁某画印
龚铁梅（1877-1969)）又名鸿恩，湖南长沙人，后定居常州。曾任上海美专国画教授，江苏国画院画师。擅长花鸟，尤擅菊花山石，古松翠柏。由于历史诸多因素声名不显，几乎被人遗忘。但凡是看过他的花鸟画的人都会被他艺术所打动。存世作品有《篱菊苍松》、《松、牡丹、白头翁》、《白鹅》、《牡丹、水仙图》等，均为画院藏品。龚铁梅的花鸟画笔力苍劲，墨法精纯，设色浓郁而韵致温婉，有吴昌硕的朴茂大气，苍茫浑厚中又不失其卓然不群的个性。
