该璧玉质质地柔亮，片形镂浮雕，中间呈圆环状。上浮雕螭龙二只，盘踞其上，其皮色与沁色相互辉映。玉雕中螭龙纹饰为汉代流行的出廓龙纹璧的纹样演化而来，魏晋南北朝后少见，宋元以后有仿制，明清承袭古制，制作数量较多。古代有夔龙拱璧的说法，意喻高节。其后纹饰逐渐演变为螭龙衔芝，意喻吉祥。
