Mack, Heinz Otto (*1931 Lollar), "Winterklänge" (Sounds of Winter), 2007, original serigraph, printed by Hans Peter Haas in collaboration with the artists of "zweiunddreißig Sieben" 78 x 110 cm, 6/70, signed and inscribed by hand. Limited edition exclusively for Edition Pro Futura. Heinz Mack - sculptor and painter, co-founder of the ZERO group Hardly any other art movement has experienced such a rediscovery in recent years as the ZERO Group, which gave German post-war art a new dimension. This also applies to its co-founder Heinz Mack, the most versatile and at the same time the most classical of the ZERO artists, whose works are now recognised worldwide. His artistic theme is light, visible in his large installations in public spaces, kinetic machines or futuristic metal reliefs. In the sixties, he initially distanced himself from painting, but later found his way back to it, as well as to colour. Heinz Mack was awarded the Grand Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his oeuvre as a whole and for his work as an ambassador of cultures. He is regarded as a tireless experimenter in the spectrum of colour light. Notes Graphics
