款识：大明嘉靖年制。 赏析：此捧盒为木掏挖，批麻灰上漆，红褐纹理瑰丽错综，如云似雾。该捧盒以简单线条而将其造化成文人清玩。明清文人多寄情崇尚自然灵性之美，此类返璞归真的文房雅玩正契合了当时文人的品位。捧盒扁圆，由盖和盒两部分组成，木盖顶部平整，黑漆处錾刻一条螭龙团纹。向下缓缓圆弧形舒展，压一道边线，盒口与盖口沿起宽皮条线。下部盒程碗状，外侧起一脊线，与盖口对称。底部饰褐色。 扁圆形的木盒，因需要双手捧上而美其名曰「捧盒」，为放置糖果点心的容器。 底部有落款楷书书「大明嘉靖年制」。
