Extraordinary armrest with a magical backrest, made from solid walnut around 1870/80. Fantastic inlay work in the backrest with a soaring eagle in front of the capital letter A and a crowning star in the background. In the openwork carved backrest there are magically designed edelweiss flowers and other floral motifs. The voluting armrests are supported on an equally finely inlaid seat with flower tendrils. The lightly carved legs swing slightly outwards. Height 117 x 50 x 56 cm, seat height 45 cm. Good condition with signs of wear consistent with age. Notes Furniture
