Imposing large sideboard, temple table, China, 2nd half of the 19th century, hardwood, rare, representative temple table. Rectangular body with moving frame supported by four volute or block feet. Front divided into eleven drawers in two rows, offset, with brass rings. The body is closed off at the side by two carved flower vases with a small shrub with fruits. Flanked by two artfully pierced shrub decorations, also with fruits (rose hips?). Overhanging, laterally curved cover plate, dimensions: approx. height 125 x 325 x 50 cm Provenance: Acquired in 2005 from the Beijing art trade.
