A framed Chinese silk embroidery of a dragon dating from the 19th century. The orange-ground panel has a blue front-facing dragon with bats over a wave and rock motif. The embroidery features the forbidden stitch. Dimensions are: 12 1/2 inches tall X 11 inches wide, 31.8 cm X 27.9 cm, while the frame measures 20 inches tall X 18 inches wide, 50.8 cm X 45.7 cm.
